Sound of Parka consists of Herwin Heite on vocals, Dennis Lap on guitar, Alex Rozeboom on bass and Simon Engwerda on drums.
Sound of Parka had already been founded before Herwin and later Dennis joined the band, Alex and Simon have been with the band from the very beginning. In its current formation Sound of Parka started to play in the fall of 2005 and with their powers combined the world is witnessing some astounding Rock ‘n Roll music.
In the press the four Parkans are described as Modpunks that walked straight out of the London scene of the late 70‘s. Critics have defined their music as being timeless Rock. The Parkans themselves consider their music as being Rock ‘n Roll music with a Hippierock and Modpunk twist to it.
However, the Parkans never set out to make any specific kind of Rock ‘n Roll music, they just try to keep their music pure and then see what comes out. As long as they can loose there selves completely in their music, the four Parkans will remain satisfied.
